The Headboard Workshop launches a brand new, deep-buttoned headboard onto the market.
It’s all about the buttons at the moment, when it comes to home furnishings. Sofas, chairs, beds, you name it; the interiors world is beyond doubt bonkers about buttons.
We have come a long way with buttoned furniture since the late 18th century, when buttons were very much ‘de rigueur’. They are no longer an uncomfortable adornment to furniture to dissuade unsavoury visitors from outstaying their welcome. Nowadays, buttons serve as a way of making a strong style statement, whether classic or contemporary.
So to keep all those with a serious button fixation happy, The Headboard Workshop has recently unveiled a new deep buttoned headboard, the Winged Tean, to sit alongside its buttoned Iona, Mull and Jura models.
The Winged Tean headboard is beautifully proportioned with elegant curvatures and deep buttoning. The scroll wings are gently flared and are accentuated with contrast piping.
Chief Sleep Superintendant Euan says, “We were inspired to create something that harked back to the elegant deep buttoned sofas of the late 1700’s, but were determined to drag the design into the 21st century. The great thing about theWinged Tean is that it is incredibly versatile and creates a huge impact, regardless of whether you go for a modern or traditional fabric.”
Euan goes on to say “It is really crucial to keep listening to the customer and providing them with what they want. It’s all about having your finger on the button, as they say!’
